About the talk
Adopting new technology for theatrical storytelling presents exciting opportunities and unique challenges. As the theatre companies of Play On begin planning their next productions, let’s step back from the technologies themselves and talk about how we work with them. Using examples from his own work with virtual reality theatre, David will share how he integrated XR technologies into his creative practice, and what he’s learned from helping other theatre artists engage with VR. He’ll discuss the dynamic between technology and your creative vision, what happens when the tech breaks, and important considerations for the audience experience.
